Some maintenance is easy to postpone, and a Kubernetes upgrade is a common example — until the running version goes out of support. By the time we started, our production Azure AKS cluster could only move in a single jump from Kubernetes 1.27 to 1.33, six minor versions at once. This post covers why the delay made the work larger and riskier, the problems we hit during the upgrade, and what running a supported Kubernetes version means for the people who use Tolgee.
